Tribal Wines, D.O. Mallorca
Tribal Wines is a wine venture for a small group of oenological friends (the tribe: Ana Martín, Jose Hidalgo and the owner-producers of Anima Negra), developed with the aim of producing and selling wines with unique characters in terms of their quality and typicity.
From the island of Mallorca, Virat is their latest offering made from the islands indigenous varieties Callet and Mantonegro.

Pure cherry juice! Not a bit sweet as it’s coated in dark, almost loamy-earthiness, backed by nutmeg and cardamom husk. The result: restrained clafoutis on the nose and an energised palate - low, dark, tannic, sweet-spiced and earthy, with just the right amount of juice lift to allow it run and carry across the palate. |
