Santa Cruz de Artazu, D.O. Navarra
The Artazu project in Navarra was created by Juan Carlos Lopez de la Calle of Rioja's famous Artadi estate in 1996, basing itself in the village of Artazu. The goal was to take the same quest for varietal purity that Artadi seeks in Tempranillo to the Garnacha varietal.
